Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Ho’s family owned a jewelry business, which developed her fine motor skills and dexterity at a young age. While she thoroughly enjoyed making and repairing jewelry (and still does!), she knew she wanted a career in the healthcare field so she could help others as well. When she realized she could combine both of her interests through dentistry, she knew she had found her lifelong passion!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After graduating from high school at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, Dr. Ho obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo. The next step was to complete dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental. Throughout her career, she’s worked as a dental receptionist, a dental assistant, and a dentist. So, it’s safe to say she has a lot of experience in the business of helping others smile! Plus, she continues to pursue continuing education and advanced training with the following professional organizations:

  • American Dental Association
  • Texas State Dental Association
  • American Academy of General Dentistry
  • SPEAR Education

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Ho is originally from Ontario, Canada, which is where her parents and older brother reside. To this day, she enjoys working with jewelry. However, she’s developed a few other interests as well, including traveling to new cities, trying different foods, and learning about different cultures.
