That way, your child\u2019s smile stays decay-free throughout the holiday season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Tip #1: Be Selective About the Candy You Keep<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Simply put, some candy is \u201cbetter\u201d than others, particularly when it comes to your child\u2019s oral health. Dark chocolate is a great example since it\u2019s delicious and<\/em> loaded with antioxidants! On the other hand, there are some candies that should be avoided, like jawbreakers. Treats like these aren\u2019t ideal because if your child bites into them too soon, they can crack a tooth; if they suck on them too long, they can develop a cavity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tip #2: Eat Candy with Meals Instead of Separately<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eating candy with lunch or dinner is ideal for a few reasons.
