TMJ Disorder and Joint Strain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most common causes of one-sided jaw pain is a problem with your temporomandibular joint, often called the \u201cTMJ.\u201d This complex joint connects your jaw to your skull on each side of your face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If one joint is strained or inflamed more than the other, it can lead to pain on just that side. You may also notice clicking or popping sounds, headaches, or difficulty opening your mouth wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
